The Body Shop-Honeymania Body Butter Review

Hello Everyone πŸ˜‰

I am back with another review this week! This time its one of my favorite brands –The Body Shop! I love how The Body Shop integrates natural ingredients with the some most popular scents like floral, musky, citrus to give us the most fragrant and amazing body lotions, shower gels, scrubs and mists. They create some of the most beautiful marriages in the smell department πŸ™‚ I also love the fact that their fragrances and effects of their products are so long lasting.

Since they have entered the Indian market, I have been stocking on their products like a total shopaholic normally does. I bought so many body butters and lotions ,shower gels, scrubs this year and soo enjoying using them every day. I am almost done with a few of them so I am ready to review them, Today I will review their bestsellers in one of their newly launched lines in the honeymania range-The Body Shop Honeymania Body Butter.

About the brand: The Body Shop International PLC, known as The Body Shop, has a range consisting of 1,200 products, including cosmetics and make-up in its 2,500 franchised stores in 61[2] countries. The company, which has its international headquarters in Littlehampton, West Sussex, England, was founded in 1976 by Anita Roddick and is now part owned by L’OrΓ©al.

The thing that I love most about this brand is that they are free from Animal Testing. Now I am kind of touchy and feel sad about this subject .As we all know the poor animals are made to suffer a lot during the tests. 😦  Hence I always try and use brands that are free from animal testing. And would request all of you to also try and buy stuff free from animal testing.Hats off to The Body Shop!, great job ,you guys!

My experience with the product:

I loveee the smell,It smells of flowers ,flowers and some more flowers. A very nice floral scent! So if you are expecting this to smell more of honey then beware,it does not. Yes it does smell of honey too,but honey is a submissive smell in this body butter, this smell is dominated by wildflowers. If you are a floral fragrance lover then you will definitely love this. Otherwise do not even bother to pick this up. It would surely give you a headache. I love floral fragrances however not the very heavy ones. Hence I make sure not to apply a lot of the butter on to my skin, that way I get a nice ,light smell of flowers throughout the day without giving me a headache πŸ˜› Another thing that I do in order to deviate from the one dimensional floral smell is to apply a mist/perfume with musky notes.

The consistency is quite thick ,luxurious and rich for sure,it looks and feels like real butter. It will work great for winters and people with dry skin(on body) like me can use it in summers too. The color of the butter is very very light orange πŸ˜€ Not sure how to describe hence attaching lot of pictures for reference:)

Creamy rich ,looks YUM,smells heavenly!

I usually apply this body butter after I take a nice hot shower,I apply it all over my body. I notice that all body shop butters usually get absorbed instantly with no oiliness or sticky feeling. I get this hydrated feeling and my body feels soft as silk after this ritual.

And mind you, this stays on for almost 12 hours. I would not say 24 hours , that is a little far fetched. Atleast, I cannot smell it past 12 hours. But yes the hydrated feeling is still there after 12 hours also.So you do not need to re apply it again during the day which is great!. I feel that is the reason I have not been able to finish up this one tub even though I have been using it for the last few months. I am waiting for this finish so I can try out some others from them πŸ˜›

Overall ,it is great value for money. One tub will last for a good 3 months even if used everyday.

Aviatrr Rating: 4.5/5

(cut 0.5 as the smell maybe a little too heavy for sensitive noses )

Would I recommend this to my friends?Definitely yes. This range is too good.Go for it if you are a lover of floral scents and soft skin:) I also have the scrub from this range and loved that too! Review coming up soon!

Thanks for Reading πŸ™‚

Innisfree It’s real squeeze mask-Lime review

Hello there πŸ™‚

Today I will review the Innisfree its real squeeze mask in the Lime variation.

I’ve wanted to buy some Innisfree face masks from a long time, after looking at some great reviews by other bloggers. I was super tempted looking at reviews but could not find them anywhere in Bangalore. Then I came across these in one of the online websites and I just had to buy them πŸ˜› I bought a bunch of them and now cannot wait to review them after using 2 of them already!

About the brand: Innisfree is a natural brand that shares the benefits of nature from the pristine island of Jeju allowing for vibrant beauty and pursues an eco-friendly green life to preserve the balance of nature.

Price: Rs.100/- per sheet mask or 1.20 USD

Quantity:1sheet-20ml

Ingredients: Everything in Korean so no clue really!

Shelf life: 24 months!

Packaging: Very basic but functional. Very effective in storing the mask safe and secure without any leakage. Also I have noticed that it does keep the mask very much like it should be,with all the serum intact,no drying here,so that’s great! In terms of the print quality, they have their brand name printed and with details of the name of the flavor-Lime on the front side of the pack. And on the back side they have given the directions to use along with the ingredients list I presume!

Directions:

1.After cleansing ,use toner to refine skin texture.

2.Take out the mask from package and spread evenly over entire face, avoiding the eye and lip area.

3.Remove the sheet after 10-20 minutes and gently pat to allow the remaining formula to absorb into the skin.

I store all my face masks in my refrigerator as I love the feeling of them cool masks on my face πŸ˜€ Also I feel they are more effective this way, well its just me I guess πŸ˜› You need not store them in the refrigerator, they will work just as nice.

Usage:I cut three sides of the face mask cover such that there was no tearing of the actual mask. Then I lifted it and opened the mask fully and spread it on my face. The mask is white in colour and had some serum like substance dripping with a light smell of lime ,not too heavy or bothersome at all ,infact very relaxing .It fit my face very well. The round’s cut out for the eyes are a little too big ,but the mask fits very well nonetheless. I have no reference to other mask brands as this is the only brand of face mask I have tried so far and this works well for me. I watched a movie with this on and there was no sliding off nor any discomfort. As the mask gradually dried out ,it left serum on my face which then got absorbed into my skin pretty well. I did not remove the mask after 20 minutes or half an hour as mentioned on the cover but I kept it on for 2 hours as it felt so good with a cooling effect on my face. I felt it would be more effective if all of the serum got absorbed into my face, and I was right. With this mask you need to keep it on for a minimum of 2 hours to completely feel its effect and for the serum to completely dry.

After the serum got completely absorbed into my face,I removed the mask and then gently massaged whatever little serum was left on my face.

After Effects: My face never felt so soft ever before and no I am not exaggerating at all.

My skin type is normal to dry ,and I have pretty good skin and it is soft naturally but I felt this mask has added a lot of hydration into my face skin in a very less time which definitely made me see the difference before and after using this mask. The only fear I have is however that the effect might be for a short period 😦 I want it to last longer. I think the effect lasts only 2 days maximum.

Rating:4/5

Overall , I love these face masks,I will stock on them and use them whenever I need my face to look soft, fresh and hydrated for special occasions or otherwise. Yes they are quite pricey for a single time use but for special occasions they are definitely worth it! The only issue I have is that the eyes cut out are a big too large due to which my under eye circles could not enjoy this mask and the serum. But I would any day prefer these rather than a trip to a salon for a facial. These masks could give those facials a run for their money πŸ˜€
